General performance increase, in some games 5-10FPS, multi monitor backgrounds can be set individually and screenshots now save to a PNG. Yes all these things were possible with 7 and some programs running in the background but I prefer features to be native.
I am still not 100% taken with Windows 8, my Main gripe is being forced to use a touchscreen optimized interface on my PC/Server
keyboard and no mouse? I remember dos being good for that.
I hate using a mouse, hurts my wrists. And all previous versions of windows have been heavly dependent on the mouse, it sucks.
My only real annoyance so far is that there's no start button, the new tile interface in the start menu doesn't bother me but having no fast point and click button is annoying as shit without a third party app
Lol you'd let them remote in?Also yeah I am using the windows key, sometimes I'd rather not though.
i agreed with everything you say.howeverthe more i use it the more it grows on you.I HATED to the point of rage the beta and trial versions of 8.but i have spent the day navigating it.and tbh it would work well in an office that only uses several apps all day. simple big tiles...it's growing on me but then so does cancer, and TBH windows ME grew on me after a while too and that was AIDS.Not advocating it but its not as bad as i was expecting.

Can anyone confirm if you can navigate through the homescreen tiles with an xbox360 controller without the use of a third party app like Xpadder for mapping keys?
you could with windows 7 as well?i use a xbox wirless pc adaptor (the proper MS one) and my xbox controller for year 7 was really good fro that ... 8 even better.
