"Perfect for touch"

So, hitting it when it doesn't work.. that's a form of touching isn't it?

I was about to say that I've had IE10 for weeks now... but I was on the Pre-Release version.

It's still balls; Slightly less hairy than before, but balls nonetheless.

Based on the pedigree my guess is it will meet my expectations and be just as shit as its predecessors!

Chrome all the way for me, just wish they had Down them all available as a plugin :(

Why does it need to run so many processes? why does it use so much cpu and RAM when compared to better performing browsers? why is it slow to launch? why does it even bother to have suggested sites? (actually I would be interested to know if anyone has ever used this feature besides me. I only used it to discover that it will suggest sites based on what you search for.....which for me anyway, I get the sites I am searching for via the search engine not the suggestions!)

I am forced to use IE at work and it does my fucking head in :(

Maybe 10 will be different? But I doubt it.

It runs so many processes, like Chrome, to Sandbox different parts of the browser, such as Flash, Tabs, Java... This is an awesome security feature and should NEVER be criticised.

I often have 50+ chrome processes running on my PC. It's a fact of life, I'm used to it.

CPU and RAM increases come with new software. You can assume, as a trend, that the general population is increasing the specifications of the PC's. 4GB is the norm now, what's 300-500MB for an application, really? CPU, eh it's hard to measure that one accurately because there's such a large number of variations.

Also SM: I agree, FF is much worse :P They joys of being a WebDev, I have Safari, FF, Opera, Chrome and IE installed xD Day to day is Chrome, and a guilty pleasure of mine is Opera (but ssshhhh)

OMG, fucking finally.

Though I bet it's JS engine is still crap.

ps. Chrome is rubbish. Nice, but rubbish.

pps. Also use Opera. It's not bad at all, quit your bitch'n codex :P
Also, at next major release it will use the Chromium branch of webkit and V8 JS engine. So you won't even be able to hold presto against it (which is still fine anyway).

I used the 64-bit nightly release of Firefox before they killed it because of ABP. Opera uses less mobile data but Chrome syncs browsing history, sessions, bookmarks etc

European regulators have fined Microsoft (MSFT) $733 million for failing to give users of its Windows system a choice of Internet browsers. The company had settled an antitrust dispute four years ago by saying it would offer alternatives to its Internet Explorer - but failed to do so for more than a year.
