If anyone was after one of these amazon currently has a sale on them. I picked up a 120gb for about $110 with shipping and a mate got the 250gb one for $210 with free shipping. Reviews I read they seem to be pretty good. Should speed up my BF4 loading a bit :D.

I might get another. This is my vid I posted the day I got it, with HDD vs SDD (before install and after install comparison).

BF4 load up (from shutdown) with HDD vs newly installed SDD Samsung 840 Evo Pro 128GB

Ignore the title, there is no such thing as an EVO PRO, it's either EVO or PRO, mine is a PRO. I think the PRO is slightly higher spec, or the newer model? I can't remember now.

That's pretty quick. Yeah I think the pro ones are slightly quicker and are supposed to last a lot longer than the evo ones. I'm considering buying the 250gb for my laptop. It only has one hdd slot but apparently its not too hard to remove the dvd drive and chuck another hdd in there if needed.

I got one in my PC. Works a dream no issues.

My boot time record from off -> having chrome open is 8 seconds. That's straight after a reformat with UEFI fine tuned though...

Significantly longer on that time when a re-enabled my password.

Mines about the same on my PC, ultrabook has 2xssd's in raid0, boots from bios to login in about 3-4 seconds at most, it's insane haha

That is tempting.  Have one, but who couldn't do with more space...

I was amazed when I had something pretty similar, think it was closer to 10 seconds once I had all my stuff installed.

Hasn't really been much close to that at all since then but still at least a minute quicker than my old SSD/ PC.
