Digital Nations/Getsome Minecraft UHC PVP event would be awesome! Easy to set up with UHCbox as well (Its a block of command blocks that turns a normal world in a Ultra Hardcore PVP world. Just google UHCbox)

1.8 minecraft has shrinking border mechanics as well, so you start with a 1000x1000 world, then the borders shrink over 2-3 hours or so into a 150x150, then who ever is left dukes it out.
